11/30

Lorelai asked Mama to paint her toes pink this afternoon after her bath. Lorelai is wearing a lovely shade of ___ by China Glaze that makes Lorelai smile when she looks at it. Later on downstairs, Lorelai was walking on her toes like the fancy lady that she is.

11/29

Lorelai demanded to play dress up today. At one point, she even tried to put on three different pairs of pants at the same time. For a few hours, she and Daddy had to pile on more clothing and accessories. Daddy was made to wear a turtle hat and join in the play time too.
Look at that little diva.

11/28

Happy Thanksgiving!
We ate dinner at Nana's house where Lorelai exercised her new phrase "but  I want it!" We are not sure where she learned that one, but it pops up at the most inopportune times.
We ate a delicious dinner of turkey, stuffing, and potatoes. Lorelai used Mama's Bunnykins plate set that Mama used to use when she was a little girl. Lorelai liked to eat the food on top to reveal the bunny pictures underneath at dinner.

11/27

Pop! Pop! Pop, pop, pop!
Today while reading The More We Get Together, Lorelai demonstrated her amazing comprehension (and also her love of bubbles) by stopping the book mid-story to try to pop all of the bubbles on the page with the little kids in the book.

11/26

Lorelai and Daddy go on adventures while Mama is at work. Today Daddy put on Lorelai's shoes to get ready to go out. He then asked "Lorelai, what do we put on next?" Lorelai exclaimed "CAPE!"... Daddy was looking for "Jacket" but a cape does sound like our little girl.

Later on at night, Lorelai insisted that Baby wear the cape too.

11/25

Happy birthday, Pop-pop-pop!
Today we went to visit Pop-pop and Eva to celebrate Pop-pop's 78th birthday. Lorelai was especially to play with Pop-pop's kitty, Cami, and to eat CAKE! Happy cake for a happy little girl.

11/24

Chris has a Philly Phanatic hat that Aunt Mo and Frank bought for him. Though, she normally hates hats, Lorelai found him, became very excited, put the hat on her head, and danced around Nana's house. Apparently, Lorelai believes that the Phanatic is actually Elmo. All monster puppets are Elmo, in case you were not aware.

11/23

Lorelai was given a stroller recently for her Baby. She has tried to climb into the seat a few times and finally figured out how to get "in" the stroller herself. Daddy and Lorelai have reviewed several times that this stroller is for babies and Lorelai is a big girl.
Now that she is in, though, she doesn't know how to get out on her own...

Friday, November 22, 2013

11/22

Lorelai always likes things to be "just so". These are Mama's shoes. Mama's shoes should be on Mama's feet. "ON!"
Mama's Little Helper.

11/21

Lorelai fed the bunnies their carrots tonight. After she gave Jasper his snack, Lorelai decided to settle down next to the pen so she could watch him eat. Lorelai loves taking care of the bunnies.

11/20

Today, Mama took off from work and we took Lorelai to the Springfield Hospital to get an untrasound on her left leg. A while back, we notices a hard lump on the back of her leg, on her calf muscle under her knee.
When we arrived at the hospital, she was all smiles. When we got back in the room and we put her on the bed, she started to look nervous and unhappy. Once Lorelai had to lay on her tummy for the test, she was very, very, very unhappy about that. When the tech started to walk away, she repeated "done" and "down", hoping we wouldn't be doing that again.
Sorry to tell you this, sweetheart, but at least one more person will want to see your leg.

11/19

What a silly girl! Lorelai wanted to try to fit as much of her head into the wipes container as she could tonight!
Since Lorelai loves our tissues and the tissue box, Daddy gave her some dried out wipes (stronger and thicker than tissues) and the wipes container for her to play with. It is now one of her favorite toys!

Monday, November 18, 2013

11/18

Lorelai is working on her Princessly balance with her stacking cups. She loves to put them on her head, Mama's head, and Daddy's head!

Sunday, November 17, 2013

11/17

If it fits, Lorelai will put it on her head.
She loves playing "store" at Nana's house with Chris. There is a shopping cart and a basket-- so many opportunities for hi-jinx!

Saturday, November 16, 2013

11/16

Lorelia was helping Mama model some crochet hats today. Aunt Col brought over a hat Mama made for Lucas when he was a little baby. Unfortunately, the viking hat was a little too small for everyone, try as Lorelai may.

Friday, November 15, 2013

11/15

Tonight, we went over to Nana and Pop-pops house and played with some of our cousins. Lorelai really enjoys spinning Nana's pumpkin decorations. The one that is red and green spins the best and is naturally Lorelai's favorite one!

Thursday, November 14, 2013

11/14

When you are an only daughter, you typically do whatever you want. Lorelai did not want to wear her pants this morning. She did want to wear her winter jacket though. Backwards. She put it on herself...
I love a girl with her own mind about her.

Wednesday, November 13, 2013

11/13

Daddy and Lorelai have been working on the art of the fist bump this week. It is really charming how she wants to be just like him sometimes. Tonight while watching the Flyers hockey game, Daddy called a player a bum so Lorelai yelled out "BUM" too. This was the celebratory high-five.

Tuesday, November 12, 2013

11/12

Lorelai loves to snuggle. And when she does, she usually likes to snuggle in blankets. And when she has one blanket, she ususally wants all the blankets she can see. And when she has all the blankets she can easily see, she looks around the couch and everywhere she can think of to find more blankets to add to her cuddle-pile. Lorelai wants all the blankets in the world.

Monday, November 11, 2013

11/11

Lorelai wanted to dress her baby in the bird costume today. She held the baby while they rocked and she hugged her so hard! It was adorable.
Tonight while we were playing Lorelai said her name! That is pretty impressive considering it is quite a mouthful! Now she alternates between saying "my key's", "Lorelai keys" and "baby".

Sunday, November 10, 2013

11/10

We love Lorelai's strong will! Yesterday she just found out that her humidifier also projected stars on the ceiling. Tonight, she was trying to convince Mama and Daddy to leave the stars on longer. "STARS!!" she yelled but to no avail. Lorelai was not able to get the stars back on before bedtime.

Saturday, November 9, 2013

11/9

Today, Mama woke Lorelai up 3 hours early to go to the Philadelphia Heart Walk-- bad move, Mama! Before we got there, Lorelai tripped and skinned her forehead. At the walk there was alot of waiting around, which Lorelai is never a fan of. She was happy when we were moving, next to her cousin with lots of things to look at as we moved but... the rest of the day did not fair so well. Lesson learned. Lorelai needs her beauty rest and that is no joke.

Friday, November 8, 2013

11/8

Mama was out all day at work, coming home just in time to have a tickle-fest and put Lorelai to bed. Lorelai is a very strong laugher!

Thursday, November 7, 2013

11/7

Let's count the Batmen! She counted "8, 9, 10" all on her own after Daddy stopped at 5. A couple of numbers missing there but still, really really impressive!

Wednesday, November 6, 2013

11/6

Lorelai learned today that loving a balloon too hard can have dire consequences. After the pop, Lorelai looked very sadly for her missing balloon for the rest of the day.

Tuesday, November 5, 2013

11/5

Lorelai's first bowling trip happened today with Gigi, Daddy, Nat, and Noel. She had a great time but wanted to desperately to throw the ball all by herself. Sadly, her strength wasn't enough to make it all the way down the lane and the attendant had to come and retrieve it. Following that, Lorelai was given a slide to use to aid with the momentum.

Monday, November 4, 2013

11/4

Piiizzzzzaaaaa! Daddy made lasagna for dinner tonight. Apparently, anything with red sauce that is an Italian flavor qualifies for "pizza" these days. Lorelai completely finished her piece, attempted to ignore the mixed veggies on her plate, and began calling for more pizza for her hungry belly. Daddy helped her finish the vegetables before bringing out more lasagna but it was touch and go there for a little bit.

Sunday, November 3, 2013

11/3

Take a look at that Mini Mama right there. Lorelai collected so many items that Mama uses, climbed on to the couch, and giggled knowing she was a pretty accurate copy of her mother.Diet coke, baby in a Kitty T Shirt, Blanket, black pillow.... She pays attention to details.

Saturday, November 2, 2013

11/2

We went to Nick Caramanico's 30th birthday party today. Lorelai was thrilled with the opportunity to play with baby Beth. When Beth was otherwise occupied, Lorelai discovered a box of Halloween candy. She selected Twix to be added to her favorite candy wrappers and shapes preferences. She wandered around the house collecting all that she could find, clutching them to her body when there were too many to simply carry in her hands. Good thing she doesn't know those packages open...

Friday, November 1, 2013

11/1

Lorelai wanted to teach the baby her letters. She took out the magnets (still in their packaging) and started naming all of the letters she knew. To help with the order and identifying the correct letter with the word that she knew, Mama and Daddy sang the ABC's song for Lorelai and the baby.

Thursday, October 31, 2013

10/31

Happy Halloween! Lorelai dressed up as Tinkerbell with little pom-poms on her shoes made by Mama. When Trick-or-Treating at Uncle Spike's house, we learned that Lorelai favors York Peppermint Patty candy packaging amongst a variety of others. She spent a good 20 minutes rooting thru Spike's candy bowl to sort out the Yorks and none others.
Not surprisingly, Lorelai's favorite part of Halloween was seeing kids. When she heard a group come by, she would shriek out "kids" and make a run for the door.

Wednesday, October 30, 2013

10/30

Lorelai sat her baby down today so she could read her a book. Lorelai read out loud about "Cookie" and "Elmo" along with a lot of enthusiastic gibberish. The baby was very interested in the story so Lorelai told the story a few times to her.

Tuesday, October 29, 2013

10/29

This morning, Lorelai came downstairs to new toys for her baby. Lorelai had a good time all day giving the baby a bath, feeding the baby in the highchair, rocking her in the crib, and taking her for a walk in the new stroller. Lorelai is a very good, very serious Mama. She takes good care of her baby.

Monday, October 28, 2013

10/28

Lorelai has her own fashion sense. Sometimes she goes looking for a piece of clothing and insists on wearing it immediately. Lorelai found a pajama shirt, first tried to put it over her head as you would a shirt and when that didn't work, tried to put the sleeves on like pant legs. She was getting that shirt on no matter what.

Sunday, October 27, 2013

10/27

At Pop-pop and Gigi's house, Lorelai loves to play hide-and-seek in the sheer curtains in the family room. She gets in behind the curtians and giggles quite loudly until someone comes looking for her. She find great joy in being able to see us while we "can't find her."

Saturday, October 26, 2013

Friday, October 25, 2013

10/25

We had pizza at Nana's house tonight! Lorelai loves pizza, just like her Mama. When she sees a picture of or a commercial for pizza, she loves to exclaim "PIZZA!" and not vigorously.

Thursday, October 24, 2013

10/24

Daddy and Lorelai showed Mama all of Lorelai's body parts today when Mama got home from work. They showed Lorelai's eyes, nose, hair, ears, teeth, belly, tongue, chin, cheeks, toes, fingers, hands, feet, boo-boo spot (knee)... and when Daddy asked her where her "tickle spot" was, Lorelai wiggled her fingers under her neck and said "ticky ticky. Neck!"

Later on in the evening, Lorelai started acting sick-- lethargic, fever of 100.5, and she threw up a little bit. We gave her a few Popsicles, a bland dinner, a little Tylenol for the fever, and lots of cuddles.
Baby's first illness.

Wednesday, October 23, 2013

10/23

Lorelai's baby was thirsty. Sometimes it is the most common household items that really hold our little angel's attention!

Tuesday, October 22, 2013

10/22

Lorelai wanted her baby to be dressed the same as her today. She took her Hello Kitty Halloween shirt out of the laundry and demanded that Daddy help her dress baby Princess Aurora. Lorelai focused her time on playing Mama for the baby-- checking her belly button, looking to see if she needed a potty change, brushing her hair, teaching her about the computer.
It was very important that baby get dressed again in the shirt as soon as it fell off. What a good Mama!

Monday, October 21, 2013

10/21

Mama and Daddy took Lorelai to the Zoo today to see the animals. The weather was beautiful and Lorelai agreed to wear her pink bird costume!
Now that she is a big girl, Lorelai notices most of the animals throughout the park-- birds (penguins, 'mingos, and every other one is basically a duck), giraffes, zebras, horses, sheep, monkeys, and kitties (of course).

Sunday, October 20, 2013

10/20

Happy baptism, cousin Jacob!
Lorelai wore her fancy party dress she got from Aunt Sarah before she was born and loved to dance around in it. She had a great time playing with the kids and the toys at Aunt Col's house

Saturday, October 19, 2013

10/19

We went to the Count's Spectacular Countdown to Halloween at Sesame Place today. We took Lucas and met up with Uncle Jamie, Dylan, and Nicky to run around the park riding on rides, taking pictures with characters, and trick-or-treating.
It was a great time, though Lorelai is still not excited to meet or be near the monsters. We sat down to watch a show while we were there and she held tight to her Daddy, trying to duck and hide from the singing and dancing Sesame people up on stage (far away).
Her favorite part was the Rubber Duckie Dance Party. Lorelai loves to dance.

Friday, October 18, 2013

10/18

Another day of learning! First thing in the morning, Lorelai collected all of her Guys and played pretend with them-- Superman even flew around the room with a sound effect/song! Later on, Lorelai learned how to blow a whistle to make noise while playing with Daddy. AND when picking up Dylan at school, Lorelai discovered that she really enjoyed running thru leaves and making a crunching noise.

Lorelai is very proud of her new discoveries.

Thursday, October 17, 2013

10/17

What a day! While playing, Lorelai picked up her Wonder Woman, held her in front of Batman and made Wonder Woman say "Hi Batman!". Later on, Daddy came to find that Lorelai had taken the two pineapple juice cans that she has been playing with yesterday in Lorelai's toy box. Some time yesterday, Lorelai decided the cans were toys and put them away with her favorite toys.

While Mama was at work, Lorelai declared "potty!" so Daddy sat her on the toliet for a little bit. Nothing happened but we are steps in the right direction for potty training!

Wednesday, October 16, 2013

10/16

Daddy dozed off tonight and Lorelai felt the need to crawl up upon him to cuddle. Someone is a Daddy's girl.

Tuesday, October 15, 2013

10/15

Lorelai pulled out one of her books tonight and was perusing the pages. Mama started singing the song "The More We Get Together" (which is the topic of the book) for Lorelai. When we got to the center of the song, Mama paused. Lorelai immediately chimed in with "CAUUUSSEEEE" right on time-- perfect and brilliant. Perfect. And. Brilliant.

The more we get together, together, together
The more we get together the happier we'll be
Cause your friends are my friends
And my friends are your friends
The more we get together the happier we'll be
