Daddy fell asleep on the couch tonight. As soon as Lorelai noticed, she made a bee line for his lap. "Good night, Daddy!" then she settled in to kick her feet and play with her iPad, secure in the comfort of her Daddy's side.

Like a good Mama, Lorelai spends quality time with her babies. She is always including them in her daily activities-- bouncing, spinning, dancing, You Tube videos on the iPad. Babies are a major part of Lorelai's day.

Lorelai is adorable. She wanted to play with her guys in the castles. She started getting more of the houses together and Daddy helped her finish the job. Her guys like to take up a lot of real estate.

Mama brought home a special happy cake for Lorelai from work today. Lorelai was too excited to see jimmies and icing on her plate after dinner. You have to love that sort of enthusiasm.

We played at Sonja and Jensen's house tonight. Ghostbusters was on to honor the passing of Egon. Lorelai tried to take a Jensen home with her as her very own but his parents noticed before we made it out the door.

We met Aunt Mo, Chris, and Frank tonight at the Springfield Diner for dinner. Mama got her pancake fix and Lorelai at yummy apple sauce and watched all of the kids eating at other tables.

SNOW! It was warm today and the snow is still on the ground so we took our little angel outside to play before naptime. She even wore her mittens!!
Daddy taught Lorelai to make snowballs and to throw them at the ground. Lorelai loved to see the snow "pop" when the ball would explode. We put her into the snow pile to stand-- she wasn't such a fan of that idea. The ground was unstable under her feet and she is not a fan of that sort of thing.

Dylan is actually playing with Lorelai and seems to be having fun. This day is one for the books.

When they played the heartbeat, Ian asked Lorelai "What's that?" and she said "BABY!" ... brilliant. We didn't even tell her that was what we were doing. Maybe all the baby pics on the wall in the doctor's office tipped her off.
Heartbeat was 164 and looking good. Lorelai should expect a new friend September 22, 2014.

Time for a very sleepy girl to go to bed. She cuddled her Daddy really tight on her way up the stairs in her monkey pants. Brush teeth, wash hands, rock-a rock-a, sing songs, and time for blankies. That's the bed time routine these days.

Mama showed Lorelai a few pages from the Lorelai scrapbooks tonight. Lorelai was all too excited to see babies and buttons and sparkles. Lorelai's baby wanted to see too.

A little later, Lorelai insisted on a dance party where Mama and Daddy had specific places in the room to dance in. We all put on cakes and danced in circles. Lorelai taught us how to fly too.

And Daddy helped her fly high, high up in the air.

Lorelai loves a good dance party.

Lorelai has been dressing herself whenever she can get her little fingers on a piece of clothing lately. Today she wanted to wear elephants (the shirt is flowers but she insisted it was just like the elephant one she likes) and a skirt. The skirt is upside down... but on the correct side facing front so at least there is a start there.
She's brilliant.

Lorelai hosted a very demanding dance party this evening at her grandparents. Lorelai commanded the dance style and moves (especially spinning in circles), parading all around the house and singing.

It's a father-daughter day! Lorelai wanted to dance to "Tongue Tied" before bed and demanded Daddy pick her up to dance. This was the best picture daddy could manage while cutting a rug with his little girl.

Snow day! 13 inches outside (well, 8 inches on top of more snowfall earlier in the week). Mama worked from home today and Lorelai was all to excited to see that. When she came down from bed, she made a bee line for her Handy Manny laptop, ready to climb up on the couch and set up shop next to Mama for the duration of the work day. She was hard to peel away for lunch time and nap but she eventually relented.

Pea-nut but-ter! Lorelai refused to eat her dinner tonight so Mama suggested we get some kind of protein in her. A handful of peanut butter crackers later and Lorelai is a die had fan for life. She loves pea- nut but-ter.

Lorelai discovered the GummiBar song. Originally from Hungry, it has been translated into several other languages, all of which Lorelai wants her family to dance around to. "Oh, I'm a gummy bear. Yeah, I'm a gummy bear. Oh, I'm a yummy, tummy, funny, lucky gummy bear."

We went to Pop pop and Gigi's house tonight for dinner and watched the opening of the Winter Olympics. Lorelai had a grand time singing and dancing for her grandparents.

Lorelai has an App on her iPad that has a Monster with an open mouth. The idea is you draw snacks for the monster to eat. Daddy has been teaching Lorelai to draw bananas and berries. The berries are colorful dots and the bananas are curvy yellow lines. She loves this program.

Daddy: Lorelai is the most adorable. I got something stuck in my throat and and Lorelai patted me and said "it's OK daddy."

Daddy: "Oh and Lorelai was typically adorable today. When we got dressed she wanted to lay on the best and she used your pillows as blankets. She kept saying warm. I treid to take a picture but between her moving and yelling at me to laydown, it didn't work."

Chris invited Lorelai over to play in his rocket ship tonight. Lorelai spent all day leading up to the play date talking to Daddy about Aunt Momo and Christopher with some unintelligible gibberish involved. She was very excited.

Cheese!!
We went to Erik Burke's first birthday party today. Lorelai had a wonderful time playing with kids!! She also found out that she tall enough to reach the dinning room table all by herself. To her excitement there was a clear cheese tray and if Lorelai stood on her tippy toes, she could stretch her little grabby finger into the tray and grab more and more cheese. Once retreived, she would immediately shove the whole cube into her mouth.
She ate a.lot. of cheese...

Dylan was over today after school. Dylan set up a hockey rink (which also conveniently blocked Lorelai out of the hockey game he was playing). Lorelai set herself up on the side lines to watch the exciting match. After a while, Lorelai got it in her head to play with one of the castles (rink walls) and dragged it across the room. Dylan tried to use all of his powers of persuasion to get her to return the rink wall and play with it where he wanted the castle.

Daddy asked "Lorelai, where are your muscles?" "Right here!" and she pointed to the drawn abs on the shirt.
Daddy said "Lorelai, show me your big muscles." Lorelai scrunched up her arms and gritted her teeth. She has amazing muscles.

Daddy is teaching Lorelai how to draw berries and a banana for the monster to eat in her App. Lorelai is shocking good at using the I-pad she got for Christmas. Santa knew she was a genius.

Little Miss is her own independent person, complete with her own agenda... which today includes stealing Mama's phone to use as a computer. When she gets the chance, Lorelai holds down the microphone button and asks Siri "Stay Puft Marshmellow Man Video!" but sadly Siri cannot make heads or tails of the request.

Mama took off from work today and we went to the Lego store with Daddy! Daddy and Lorelai had a great time playing with the Legos at the store. Lorelai is a big fan of emptying out the Lego bin in the center of the table... and Lego men!

Tonight was our last Christmas celebration -- a gathering with the Way family. Lorelai wasn't feeling awesome but she was still the life of the party. She regaled the group with her famous disappearing act. Bet you can't see her either. Oh, no! Where did Lorelai go?

"It's snoooowwwwing, Mama!"
Lorelai has had the special treat of seeing it snow a few times this month and she loves it every time. She camps out at the window and stairs out in awe. Lorelai loves to look at the snow.

Lorelai isn't a fan of the doctor's office using a stethoscope but she does like to use hers at home. She sits patiently and points to the part of her body that needs to be listened to. Her nose is still running and she still has a cough but she is getting better all the time.

Lorelai is a very big girl. She put on her pajama pants today all by herself! They were a little inside out but otherwise-- perfect! Just like she is.

Worst sick day yet! Lorelai's eyes are draining (eye boogers!), nose is running, and her face is blotchy. Daddy took her to the doctor's and we were told that she has a stomach virus that could last up to 10 days. Our little trooper is doing her best but you can tell her face is getting chapped around her eyes where they are leaking and nose. Mama and Daddy are getting sick too. Boooo.

It snowed 12 inched today... Lorelai was beside herself with excitement as soon as she saw it, trying to stay glued to the window as long as possible.

Lorelai felt as though dinner was taking too long today so she decided to set up shop in the kitchen while she waited. She sat in the seat and even held the tray in place asking for "food, Daddy!"

Oh no! It looks like Lorelai may be getting sick. Her nose started running yesterday and her eyes were red like she was having an allergic reaction to something yesterday at Gigi's. Those symptoms persisted today and our little girl was very lethargic.

Today we had Christmas with Gig's family (the Taylor's). Everyone came to Gigi and Pop-pop's house.
Lorelai loved playing with Gavin and Sarah all day.
And, of course, there was a obscene amount of snacks and desserts that everyone kept letting Lorelai steal off of the tables. She had a great time.

Lorelai is in love with a "dip it". Like her Mama, Lorelai loves to dip things in other things. Usually, Lorelai will dip something, then suck the sauce off of the nugget, pretzel, or whatever. In this case, she was actually eating the chicken-- but only the part covered in sauce before moving on to the next one. She even dipped a few of her strawberries into the barbeque sauce...

Lorelai has a strong sense of affection for the song "Tongue Tied" by Grouplove. Daddy intentionally hadn't played it for her for a few weeks since she demands the song be played at least half a dozen times before moving on to something else.
When Daddy left the room, Lorelai wanted to hear the song again. Daddy came back to see Lorelai like this-- furiously clicking the mouse and hoping for a song to dance to.

This was Lorelai's first every legitimate temper tantrum.
Daddy was fortunate enough to catch it on film.
It lasted around 5 minutes with full on tears, kicking, screaming, and rolling around on the floor-- the works.

Lorelai is learning how to use puzzles. The doctors recommended it at her 1.5 year visit and she is really getting the hang of them. Nana gave her quite a few for Christmas. She particularly likes the animals and the puppies. We love wooden puppies. They are nice and do not bark.

We went to play with Sonja and Jensen tonight! Lorelai tried, more than once, to acquire Jensen as one of her baby dolls to play with. The girls are doing a good job learning how to play nicely together. Lorelai loves going over to see her friend!
