Happy Easter! Lorelai found so many eggs when she got up this morning. The Easter Bunny must have thought she deserved extras since we have a few bunnies of our own. Lorelai loved shaking them as she found each one. It wasn't long before she realized there were snacks inside consisting of Goldfish, Cheerios, Corn Chex, and Apple Cinnamon Puffs.
We went to visit Nana at McGee. Nana gave us some eggs too. More eggs! And we got to Skype with Uncle Pat Gal too! Lorelai tried to talk his and Nana's ears off. She's a Chatty Cathy.

3/30

Tomorrow is Easter. Gigi sent Lorelai a car in the mail with a kitty cat and some eggs with money for her pig. Lorelai was very excited to see the kitty on her card. She kissed the cat and meowed for him. This will be Lorelai's second Easter!

Today was our one year old doctor's appointment. Now, Lorelai gets shots in her arms like a big girl. She had two shots, a TB test in her forearm, and blood taken from her finger. Daddy said that she screamed and cried thru the whole thing and would only be consoled by her snack cup when it was all over. The finger band-aide didn't last long... she had it off before Mama got home from work.

Tonight, all Lorelai wanted was a fist full of Goldfish. She has at least 5 new teeth coming in on her top row and they make her sad sometimes. Mama guesses the fishies are an adequate distraction.

This princess is too big to live in her new castle... but she loves playing with it. Lorelai has figured out how to make all of the sounds happen. When Mama or Daddy put her guys in the castle rooms, she methodically smacks each person out like it's her own game to play. Lorelai has her own ideas about what her guys should be doing.

As soon as she caught sight of her snack cup at Daddy's hockey game, her attention was focused on acquiring her target. Her favorite snack in the cup are yogurt bites, followed by Goldfish, Teddy Grahams, and lastly Cheerios. Lorelai successfully distracted two women watching the game tonight when her snacking needs. She was a delight and they were enchanted.

Lorelai takes playing with her guys very seriously. The Batman twins were apparently in trouble and needed to feel her wrath.

Spring is here. Despite the snow on the ground this week, sunny days are coming soon. With that in mind, Mama has concerns that the bright, fiery ball of yellow in the sky is looking to give little Lorelai a sunburn like the dickens. In light of that, Mama made Lorelai a lovely cotton hat with a wide floppy brim. And guess who refuses to wear it without Mama holding her hands down? You guessed it... Lorelai!
Well, the deal is if she wants to try a swingset, we are going to have to find a way to cover that georgeous, pale skin.
You'll thank me when you're older.

Lorelai has been getting progressive opportunities to do big girl things like a big girl. See that? It's whole milk drank from a sippy cup with a straw. We're working on picking up the glass in the future but details, details....

Today Daddy asked Lorelai where the Kitty Cat was. Lorelai turned and grabbed the white cat, a birthday present from Gigi, and held it in the air for her Daddy to see. Aw! She knows it's a kitty! Lorelai is so smart.

Happy First Day of Spring!
We took Lorelai out to get her first Rita's-- Peach Mango Sugar-Free Water Ice. She was an enthusiastic participant.

Happy first birthday, Blueberry!! It was a busy busy tuesday for our little wonder. We woke and had our monthly photo shoot. Afterwards, we went to Magee to see Nana! Nana was there for her birth minute -- 3:42pm. We were all together again in a hospital one year later.
Next, we were off to see Grandpop, Gigi, Uncle Spike, and Erin for birthday dinner and cupcakes. While opening her presents, Lorelai spotted a stuffed white kitty cat with large eyes from Gigi in the top of her gift bag. Lorelai picked it out and immediately started to walk away on her knees holding on to her new pet. We think we even heard her say "meow".... She is amazing! Later on, Lorelai annihilated two cupcakes in quick succession... She also had her first taste of ice cream-- Root Beer Float.

All in all a very fun filled birthday. We can't believe it has already been a year!
