Daddy and Uncle Spike had an early game this week so Gigi and Grandpop came to help cheer on the team too! Now that Lorelai is out of her car seat carrier, she is much more active at the rink. May be time to start trying on some skates and getting her a few lessons of her own. Soon.

Lorelai had a great time today at Nana's house. She found two plastic scoops that made a great noise when banged together. Perhaps she and her cousins can start a band! Look how excited she is!!

Tonight is the Flyer's last game of the season. Sadly, we did not make it into the playoffs this year. Still, Daddy and Lorelai are proud of our guys in orange.

Lorelai found the kitties on her pajamas. It is very exciting to wear kitties to bed.
Mama brought home finger puppets from a baby shower at work and one of them was a tiger. Daddy pointed out that the orange puppet was a kitty... it is now Lorelai's favorite. Of course.

Mama came home to Lorelai and Daddy just like this. Daddy was reading a book with Lorelai playing next to him. One moment, she is playing with a glow ball and the next-- out like a light.

Daddy sings Lorelai the "Batman" theme song from the 1960's TV Show. Usually she makes her Batman dance along to the song. Tonight, she helped sing the "Na na na na na!" at the end of the song. It's the first time she has ever done this. It was too cute!

Lorelai climbed up the stairs today at Nana and Pop-pop's house all by herself-- first try too! She made it up 6 stairs to the second floor of the split-level home with Daddy spotting her from behind.

Today we also changed out her baby car seats and bases for the older kid version. She is still facing backwards but now doesn't look like a tiny baby girl anymore.

Tonight, we plan to put her to bed without a binky. Such a big girl!

Daddy unpacked some Daddy-only toys tonight-- little Ghostbusters guys and some villains. Lorelai was pretty sure that she had domain over all toys in this household. Daddy successfully distracted her with the packaging pictures... for now. We make no promises.

Lorelai loves pizza! The crusts are helping with teething tonight and that seems well worth the carb overload if you ask Mama.

Today, Mama recieved a package in the mail. Lorelai, all full of curious diva energy, reach into the box and removed anything she could get her little hands on. She came out with some air filled plastic bags that made a fun noise when you scrunched them up. Clearly this package was meant for her attention.

Mama was eating an orange earlier this evening. Lorelai insisted she have some too in addition to the Goldfish in her Snack Cup in her hand. Since we have been battling a diaper rash, Mama thought it better not to give Lorelai an acidic orange and she received a piece of rind hoping she would be discouraged by the taste and give up. She ate it! Lorelai had already consumed bits of the rind before Mama noticed what was happening and took it away.
Oh. Lorelai. What will we do with you?

Lorelai popped her first tooth today! You can sort of see it here-- bottom row, on the left near her fist.

Nakie Time!!
Lorelai has been fighting a nasty diaper rash this week. The internet suggested that she get time naked to allow her lady parts time to breath and her rash to dry out. Cross your fingers-- Here's hoping!

Every time Lorelai went to the bathroom without her diaper on, she immediately started to cry. It makes you wonder if she isn't ready to potty train... Maybe we are getting ahead of ourselves.

Lorelai refuses to stay in her seat for more than 3 minutes of Daddy's hockey games now. She wants to run around on the floor, sit on the table, pound on the glass, and enjoy her Snack Cup.

She really and truly pounds on the glass and yells at the players-- no joke. Oh! And today she noticed which player was her Daddy and waved to him. First time!

Lorelai had a wonderful day with Aunt Mo and Christopher today. They played outside and Chris shared his red car! And Aunt Mo showed Lorelai her dangerous nature by giving her lunch without a bib. Oh my! Aunt Mo is quite the risk taker.

Happy 2nd birthday, Taigh! Lorelai went to his Build-a-Bear Party tonight and made a new friend. Lorelai chose a honey colored bear that we named Gordon after Batgirl, Barbara Gordon. Lorelai was very excited to warm up his heart, stuff him, and bathe the bear. She even picked out a red bow tie (with the help of her Daddy).

Sauce everywhere!In Lorelai's hair, on her thighs, hands, arms, all over her face... So much sauce. She's so much like her Mama-- we love sauce!

When Lorelai sees her diaper bag, she knows that a Snack Cup is waiting inside. When she sees her snack cup, she exclaims two sounds that sound remarkably close to "Snack Cup!". Snack Cup usually has tasty treats inside like Goldfish. Cheerios, Puffs, Yogurt Bites... any number of exciting things. And who could say no to that precious, demanding face?

Today has been the hottest day all year-- a high of 82.
Lorelai seemed a little warm sitting on Mama's lap. Mama thought Lorelai might enjoy a slight breeze so she started to blow softly at Lorelai's face. After a few gusts, Lorelai started to blow wind back at her Mama.
She's so amazing and smart.

Again, Lorelai was putting her foot down and insisted to be shown pictures on Mama's camera rather than allow Mama to actually take pictures of Lorelai. Mama and Daddy thought it would be fun to try to sneak into the photo shoot. Photo bomb!

Tonight, we went to see Aunt Col Col and cousin Jacob to watch a movie. Jacob slept thru most of the evening-- Lorelai barely knew he was there. As soon as Jacob woke up, Lorelai was desperate to get close to and touch the baby. Lorelai loves kids. She wanted to pet his head and poke his nose.... His eyes may or may not have also been in danger. Mama reminded Lorelai to be gentle and you could see her gentle her reaching hands. So sweet. Jacob would make a fun dolly.

Now when Lorelai sees Mama's camera, she insists on reviewing all of the pictures to her satisfaction. Being a little diva, fits will be had if she isn't given the chance to see the pictures of herself and other kids. She demands and you will relent. Or else.

Nana came home today!! To celebrate, all of the grandkids came over to play with her. Lorelai was so happy to see her Nana back where she belongs-- at the center of the family, with the kids and her genealogy work nearby.

Lorelai decided to Hop on Pop, just like the good Dr Seuss would want.
Mama bought this shirt long before Lorelai was born. She likes the pink sparkly heart in the middle. Lorelai made a "mmmmMMmmm" sound when she saw it. It means she has found something she likes.

Lorelai has been sleeping with the bunny Nana gave her over the past few days. This morning, she explained to Daddy, by fiercely gripping the rabbit, that she wanted to play with bunny downstairs today too. What Lorelai wants, Lorelai gets (within reason).

Super Lorelai! Complete with battle cry and orange cape, Lorelai is taking after her guys and has decided to fight crimes. Tonight's crime she is up against? Mama and Daddy have snacks and Lorelai wants to teach them a lesson in sharing.
